Radiant Orchid

ENG: Pantone declared radiant orchid as the color of the year 2014. After the cool emerald, which was trend color last year, it is now the opposite sahde on the color wheel. An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. At least this is how Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantones Institutes describes it. 

Max Mara and Marc Jacobs already showed the color on the spring/sumer 2014 fashion shows and I am going to give it a shot, too. I am taking small steps though and start with a bag. A dress or total look in that color would mean an overdose of love and joy for me ;)

What do you think about radiant orchid?

DE: Pantone hat Radiant Orchid als Farbe des Jahres 2014 auserwählt. War vorheriges Jahr noch das kühle Emerald angesagt, so ist es dieses Jahr, eine im Farbkreis entgegengesetzte Nuance. Radiant Orchid schafft mit seiner Harmonie aus Purpurrot, Violett und Pink Zuversicht und strahlt Freude, Liebe und Gesundheit aus. So wird die Farbe zumindest von Leatrice Eiseman, der Executive Director des Pantones Institutes beschrieben. 

Max Mara und Marc Jacobs präsentierten die Farbe auch bereits auf den den Frühjahrsschauen und auch Ich wage mich nun in einem zaghaften Versuch auch an die Farbe ran. Erst einmal nur in Form einer Tasche, denn als Farbe für ein Kleid oder komplett Look, wäre es mir dann doch etwas zu viel der ganzen Freude und Liebe ;)
