ENG: When I saw this top at CUBUS it instantly thought of Alexander Wang Spring 2013 collection. It is clear, where CUBUS took its inspiration from, but that is exactly what I like about them. They recreat the trends from the catwalk really quick and make them available for us in no time.
Cut outs are a big topic for this summer. Victoria Beckham, Prabal Gurung and Chloé also used cut outs in their spring 2013 collections. The key to this look is the lack of embellishment and color. The look works the best in black or white and doesn't need any jewelry, because the cut out itself are decorative enough. It is a new kind of minimalism - one that I really like. Even so I combined the top with striped pants, which are the most present trend of this season (see Balmain, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Dior). I also added my new sunnies and my white silver sneakers (also with mesh underlaid cut outs) since I wouldn't feel well without accessories (You cannot expect Overdivity to go from overdress to minimalism in one step. I need to take small steps).
DE: Als Ich dieses Top bei CUBUS sah, dachte ich sofort an die Frühjahr 2013 Kollektion von Alexander Wang. Man sieht deutlich, woran CUBUS sich inspiriert hat und genau das mag Ich auch an dem Geschäft: Die Trends vom Laufsteg werden schnell nachgeahmt und sind so für jeden sofort zu haben.
Cut outs sind ein großes Thema diesen Sommer. Victoria Beckham, Prabal Gurung und Chloé haben ebenfalls geschickt cut outs in ihren Kollektionen verwendet. Der Schlüssel zu diesem Look liegt in der fehlenden Dekoration und Farbe. Es funktioniert am besten in schwarz oder weiß und ohne jeglichen Schmuck, da die cut outs schon dekorativ genug sind. Es ist eine neue Art von Minimalismus - einer der mir ausnahmsweise mal zusagt. Dennoch habe ich eine gestreifte Hose dazu kombiniert, ein Sommertrend, der sich sehr stark durchgesetzt hat (siehe Balmain, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Dior). Dazu auch noch meine neue Sonnenbrille von Monki und weiße Sneakers (ebenfalls mit Mesh unterlegten cut outs), da ich mich so ganz ohne Accessoires nich wohlfühle (Ihr könnt von Overdivity nicht erwarten in einem Schritt von overdressed zu Minimalismus zu wechseln. Ich nähere mich mit kleinen Schritten an).
