ENG: I must confess, that I am a fan of sciene-fiction movies and that I really like Star Wars. I found the R2D2 and C-3PO leggings online, I instantly ordered them. It seems that I hit the mark, for a few designers, showed that they are excited for the 7. Star Wars movie to be shown in the cinemas in december 2015, too. One of those designers is Rodarte, whos fall / winter 2014 collection featured prints with jedis and droids on floor length dresses. In London the Preen designers showed Darth Vader prints and thus proved, that they are attracted to the powers of the dark side. Although all the Star Wars looks, were more shared on Twitter and Instagram during Fashion Week, than all the other looks from those two shows shows, you need to look at it with a bit of humor and irony. Still I want to show you an everyday version of a Star Wars print look. Are there any hidden nerds among you too?

DE: Ich muss euch gestehen, dass ich ein Fan von Sciene-Fiction Filmen bin. Die Star Wars Reihe gehört ebenfalls zu den Filmen, die ich mir immer wieder gerne ansehe. Als ich dann irgendwann Online eine Leggings mit R2D2 und C-3PO Print entdeckt habe, landete diese gleich in meinem virtuellen Warenkorb. Und damit scheine ich richtig ins Schwarze getroffen zu haben, denn auf den Modenschauen für Herbst 2014 zeigten auch zwei Designer, dass sie voller Vorfreude auf den 7. Star Wars Film warten, der im Dezember 2015 erscheinen soll. Einer dieser Designer ist Rodarte. Bei der, in New York präsentierten Herbst /Winter 2014 Kollektion, sah man Jedi-Ritter, Yoda und Droiden auf bodenlangen Kleidern. In London zeigten die Designer des Labels Preen mit Darth Vader Aufdrucken, dass sie von der dunklen Seite der Macht angezogen werden. Obwohl diese Looks bei der Fashion Week bei beiden Shows häufiger als alle anderen gezeigten Outfits getwittert und auf Instagram geteilt wurden, sollte man diese Looks mit viel Humor und etwas Ironie betrachten. Ich zeige euch dennoch ein Version für den Alltag. Gibt es unter euch denn auch irgendwelche heimlichen Nerds?

ENG: When I first saw the pleated skirt from H&M Trend, I knew that I had to have it. It is available at H&M in pink, black and gray. The special thing about it is the rigid fabric, which creates this pretty pleats. The term scuba originates from scuba diving. Inspired by diving suits designers like Michael Kors and Stella McCartney used fabrics, which are similar to neoprene for their summer collections and that is where the term scuba skirt comes from. Go for scuba fashion an dive into this new trend.

DE: Als ich den Faltenrock von H&M Trend zum ersten Mal sah, war mir sofort klar, dass ich ihn haben muss. Er ist bei H&M in den Farben schwarz, grau und pink erhältlich. Das besondere an dem Rock ist das Material, welches sehr standfest ist und daher diese schönen Falten schlägt. Der Begriff Scuba stammt übrigens aus dem Unterwassersport. Inspiriert von den Taucheranzügen haben viele Designer wie z.B. Michael Kors und Stella McCartney Materialien mit Neopren ähnlichen Eigenschaften in ihrer Kollektion verwendet und so wurde die Bezeichnung scuba skirt oder scuba dress geläufig. Also ran an die scuba fashion and abgetaucht in den neuen Trend ;)

EN: I tried to be productive during my holidays. Among others, I made this simple silk top, with the chinese print.

For my readers there will soon be a little giveaway. What it will be exactly, I won't tell yet. Just this: it's something I've sewn.

By the way, I used my left spare time to lie in the sun and work on my tan. ;)

DE: Meine Ferien habe ich genutzt, um ein wenig produktiv zu sein. Unter Anderen habe ich dieses simple Top aus Seide, mit dem chinesischen Print genäht.

Für meine Leser wird es bald auch ein kleines Giveaway geben. Was es genau sein wird, verrate ich noch nicht. Nur so viel: es ist ebenfall etwas genähtes.

Übrigens habe ich meine restliche Freizeit auch dazu genutzt in der Sonne zu liegen und an meinem Teint zu arbeiten. ;)
